    • David Cather four children orphaned. David drowned 31 Jan 1835, his wife had just died prior. The oldest daughter Adelaide/Adeline was taken in by her aunt Jane Cather and husband Robert McKee. Son Napoleon and daughter and Francis Louise went to David's brother James to live. And the youngest Sarah Jane went to live with Hiram Adams and his wife Elizabeth William, sister of Delilah Williams. As they had no children, so they adopted Sarah jane as their own. because Hiram's will divided his property between his surviving brothers and their children.
